The drive to SRQ from downtown Sarasota and Lido Key is short. From Longboat Key, Anna Maria Island or Siesta Key, it depends on the bridges and the season: winter traffic on the causeways and along the barrier islands can add time. SRQ is a customs user-fee airport, with a U.S. Customs and Border Protection general aviation facility for private aircraft arriving from abroad, according to the airport's GA customs page and the CBP fact sheet.
